BEAM Platform
Product, UI & UX Design — 2025.
Overview
Timeline: 8 months
My role: Sole designer
Responsibilities: design systems, product design, prototyping, wireframing.
User group: Bodewell partners & dealers (official retailers of GE Appliances’ House of Brands)
The goal: to create a CRM platform where dealers and partners can track customer referrals, sales of Bodewell memberships, and product purchases from GE Appliances’ House of Brands.
I worked extensively with sales, marketing, and e-commerce specialists, project managers, and developers to design the platform from the ground up.
This process included the utilization of design thinking to interpret data, problem-solve for the needs of BEAM (Bodewell Exchange Alliance Market) users, and creating mockups and iterative prototypes. These prototypes were in turn used in presentations to gain stakeholder feedback, to increase the network of Bodewell partners & dealers, and to guide the development team when building the BEAM.
The design system for the BEAM platform is based on the design system for the Bodewell brand. Leveraging the established system, I worked strategically to expand the brand’s color palette to accommodate user needs. I.e. testing and implementing ‘confirm’ (green) and ‘error’ (red orange) colors that are also used in the BEAM’s color-coded referral system.
Design
After the initial launch of the BEAM, my responsibilities have shifted to product design maintenance and updating the platform to add new features. I work in collaboration with sales & marketing coordinators and offshore development staff to design solutions that solve problems and meet the needs of our dealers and partners as they arise.
